My father's unit the "Lucky 7th" fought here and he was wounded in your area by an 88mm shell but survived to fight in the Battle of the Bulge. He (S/Sgt. Jerome Kounitz of Co. B - 48th Armored Infantry) was briefly caught behind the German lines and helped by a Dutch family...something he never forgot right up until his death in October of 2001.
Thank you all for maintaining these memorials to the fallen. Those soldiers who gave up all their tomorrows so we could have ours...in Freedom.
Thank you so much for your efforts to honor these men who gave their lives for freedom. In reading your website, could not help thinking of that famous war memorial "When you go home, tell them of us and say: 'For your tomorrow we gave our today"
Hi Werner ... Mooie informatieve website.
Zal later van de week een verwijzende link op mijn website plaatsen.
"Keep up the good work so we never forget"
Great job! Very impressive.
Thank you for all your efforts in researching and compiling this information, for the website development, and for this extraordinary accomplishment! It is a very meaningful tribute and reminder.
We were in England when we received your message that the website was activated. The Churchill War Rooms and Museum were some of the most interesting parts of our visit in London.
What a beautiful tribute! Well done!!! I'm sharing this with all the Veterans I know.
May God bless you!
